It was a blessing to see those of you who were able to attend the service yesterday. It had been so long since I had seen most of your faces and even though we couldn’t have close contact with each other, it was still a blessing for me just to see you from a distance.
For those of you who were not in attendance at the church yesterday, please know that we’re thinking about you daily and encourage you to stay safe from this virus and hopefully we’ll be over the worst of this pandemic soon and we’ll all be able to worship together again at the House of God. I’m not interested in how it used to be; I want to see it better than it used to be!!
I appreciate the technology that affords us the opportunity to share our services across the internet, but if you are physically able when this COVID-19 scare has passed, there is nothing that can replace worshipping God together with his people. That is why the Bible instructs us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but exhorting (encouraging) one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching. Brothers and sisters I can certainly sense within my soul that the day of the Lord is quickly approaching.
I would like to remind everyone about the special day of prayer set for tomorrow at 12:00 noon. I shared with you a few weeks ago to set aside the date of May 5th to take time out of your schedule at 12:00 noon and wherever you’re at during this time join together with Christians from across our land to pray for revival. Our friend, Bro. Ralph Sexton, Jr., has organized this prayer event and set a goal for at least 100,000 to sign up on his website and agree to use this day to pray for God to forgive our sins and heal our land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
As of this morning there have been over 182,000 who have registered for this time of prayer. If you would like to read more about this event, visit Bro. Ralph’s website: https://ralphsextonministries.com/prayer-revival/
If you are a Bible believer, then you must agree if God’s people shall humble themselves and pray and seek the face of God, repenting of their sins and are willing to turn from their wicked ways (repent), then God has promised that He will hear from heaven, forgive us of our sin and heal our land. So, I encourage you right now to prayerfully prepare your hearts to join together with God’s people and come approaching the throne room of God boldly tomorrow seeking God on behalf of our city, county, state, country and our world. The United States of America along with this entire world needs the healing touch of an Almighty God.
I truly believe that God is up to something big. I’m not exactly sure what all God is up to, but I do know that it is God’s desire is to bless His people and redeem the lost. I believe at this point in history our world is positioned for a Great Awakening and a worldwide revival like we’ve never witnessed with our own eyes, but have only read about in history. God is still the same as He was yesterday, today and forever and He is not willing that any should perish.
(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
So, let’s pray with faith believing and see what God can do.
